How I Found My Forever Home

I was adopted from a local rescue when I was just a puppy. Mom showed up at an adoption event one day — and that was it. She saw me, I saw her, and the rest is history. She says she was “just looking.” Sure, mom. Sure.

I went home that day and immediately claimed the couch. Mom says she was going to crate train me. I think we both know how that turned out.

What I’m Made Of

Mom had my DNA tested and it came back with 11 different breeds — so apparently I’m just a little bit of everything amazing. Here’s the full breakdown:

• 33% American Pit Bull Terrier
• 28% Catahoula Leopard Dog
• 11% American Staffordshire Terrier
• 10% Rhodesian Ridgeback
• 6% Basset Hound
• 3% Mastiff
• 3% American Foxhound
• 2% Boston Terrier
• 2% American Bulldog
• 1% Doberman Pinscher
• 1% Boxer

In real life, that means I’ve got the energy of a Pit Bull, the nose of a hound, the stubbornness of a Ridgeback, and the heart of a very good boy. I contain multitudes.

A Day in My Life

Every day is a new adventure when you’re me. Here’s what a typical Albie day looks like:

• 🐿️ Chasing squirrels (I’ve never actually caught one, but today could be the day)
• 🚗 Car rides — the wind! The smells! The ability to hang my head out the window!
• 🦮 Walks (please, PLEASE can we go on a walk already??)
• 😴 A big, glorious couch nap (non-negotiable)
• 🎾 Sniffing, exploring, and investigating everything within nose range
• 👀 Staring at mom until she gives me a treat. It works more often than you’d think.

My Favorite Things

I’m also kind of a product expert. Mom lets me test all kinds of toys, treats, chews, and gear — and I give my completely honest, tail-wagging opinion on all of it. Usually that means either destroying it within five minutes or refusing to put it down for three days straight. Either way, you’ll know if it’s worth it.
