Giggle Ball Review: The Toy That Makes Me Lose My Mind (In the Best Way)

My mom brought home the Giggle Ball and I did not handle it calmly. I’d like to say I played it cool. I did not.
The second it hit the floor and made that sound — this ridiculous, wobbly, giggling noise — I was done. Completely done. My brain went offline. I batted it across the room, it giggled, I chased it, it giggled again. We did this for 45 minutes. My mom had to literally put it away so I would eat dinner.
What Even Is a Giggle Ball?
It’s a ball. But when you roll it, bat it, or pick it up, it makes this weird giggling sound from inside. There’s no battery. No charging. It’s just built into the ball somehow, which honestly feels like magic. My mom says it’s because of the air movement through the tubes inside, but I don’t care about that. I care that it sounds alive and I must catch it.
Why I’m Obsessed
- It moves unpredictably. I never know which way it’ll go. Very exciting.
- The noise is deeply motivating. I cannot explain it. My paws just start moving.
- It’s durable — I’ve been going at this thing hard and it’s still in one piece.
- It works even when my mom is busy. I can play by myself and she doesn’t have to throw anything.
- It’s the right size — big enough I can’t swallow it, small enough I can carry it around triumphantly.
My Mom’s Take
She loves it too, mostly because I entertain myself with it. She says it’s one of the best toys she’s ever bought because it requires zero effort from her and keeps me busy. She did mention that the giggling sound is a little unhinged at high volume, but she’s willing to deal with it because I’m happy.
She also appreciates that it’s not a squeaky toy — the sound is different, more of a chuckle than a squeak, which apparently is easier to tune out after the 200th time.
Is It Worth It?
Yes. Absolutely yes. If your dog needs something to do, or if you need 30 minutes of peace while your dog entertains themselves, get the Giggle Ball. I’ve had a lot of toys. This one is in my top three, maybe top two.
The only downside is that my mom hides it sometimes because I get too amped up at night. That feels like a personal attack but I understand.
🎾 Albie’s Verdict: 5/5 Paws
Best for: Dogs who need mental stimulation, solo play, or are just easily entertained by weird noises (hi, it me).
